…and yet completely filled with JOY at the same time.
let me explain.
first :: meet team THAILAND
these are the [amazing] people that the Lord has sovereignly chosen for me to be able to go to Thailand with this summer. are they not the most wonderful group of people you have ever seen?!
and now let me tell you a little bit about the trip.
for many of you, i sent out a prayer letter that some what explained what we will be doing over there — though many of the actual details are unknown to us! we will be basically interning with ZOE International and working in the children’s home that they have over in Thailand. only the Lord knows what things we will be doing while we are there — so we are just prayerfully trusting in Him.
i am so excited for this trip…SERIOUSLY. but at the same time i am totally scared.
i have realized that this is something that i have to daily be surrendering to the Lord. lately there have been days when i doubt, but can i just tell you :: OUR GOD IS SO GOOD. He keeps giving me confirmation after confirmation that this is His will and that i need to just follow Him and TRUST Him above all other things.
God is so faithful, even though i am not.
He is good, i am not.
His power is perfected in weakness — therefore let me rejoice in weakness, that His power may abound.
when i am weak, then i am strong.
i will continue to keep you updated as things come up here and there.

i couldn’t help but put that as the title for this post, only because every time i get the “GUESS WHAT?! WE’RE ENGAGED!!!!!” phone call that is what instantly goes through my mind. hahaha
…but the truth is: i am so excited for my sweet nadia nicole {soon-to-be} POLSTON & Kyle.
it has been so fun to be able to watch the two of them grow together and fall in love.
i still remember when nadia first called me and told me about “this amazing guy” she had just met!!! and now look where we are…precious.

i’ll never forget when i met my dear friend laura. it was actually a friendship that started online — who knew it would be one that would last such a long time…hahaha
we are celebrating her 21st birthday, so this is a rather momentous occasion.
so many FUN//AMAZING//CRAZY//HYSTERICAL memories with this girl…
love her to death — SO thankful for her.

i absolutely L O V E this day.
it truly is a precious holiday…i love seeing all the people running around with surprises for that special someone. it brings such joy to my heart. i love all the fun and creative things that people come up with and how everything is just extra sweet. i love the red and pink that is spread everywhere. i love all the lovely surprises that arrive when you least expect. and i just love “L O V E”.

so i have not formally announced this, so here is goes…
i have been blessed with the opportunity to go to Thailand this summer on a 6 week missions trip!
and i am so incredibly excited.
the Lord is so good.
i can hardly wait to tell you all about it! He is going to do great things!
